Angele.H is, above all, a person. Born in Togo and raised in France, her life took a pivotal turn nearly three decades ago during what was meant to be a month-long vacation in Madagascar. The island’s breathtaking beauty was unforgettable, but so too was the extreme poverty she witnessed—something impossible to ignore.

With a lifelong exposure to textiles through her grandmother, and a deep compassion for women and children, Angele began producing private-label products in Madagascar as a way to create opportunity. As her work grew, so did her commitment: she opened her own manufacturing facility and moved to Madagascar full-time. This allowed her not only to ensure exceptional quality, but also to hire and train local women—most of them single mothers or widows—who are disproportionately affected by economic hardship.

Today, her team is trained in the art of hand and machine smocking, embroidery, and most recently, working with fine cashmere. These skills give women more than a livelihood; they provide the ability to feed their children, access education, and build a more secure future. Recognizing that true empowerment goes beyond a paycheck, Angele.H also provides comprehensive health coverage, including prescription drug coverage for employees and their children, along with daily transportation to and from work. Everything begins with dignity, health, and education.

Beyond the walls of her atelier, Angele remains deeply engaged with charities like Sekool, orphanages, and schools in rural communities, consistently supporting initiatives that uplift the next generation. Angele’s journey eventually intertwined with Kimberly’s through family friends, sparking both a personal bond and professional partnership. Today, Kimberly leads The A H Paris Femme, the direct-to-retail platform that brings Angele’s creations to a wider audience, while Angele continues her focus on private label and manufacturing in Madagascar.
